The Hultafors axes have arrived! Unfortunately, it has been raining since last night, so I can't take any photos of them yet. The weather is supposed to clear up this weekend, so I hope to have some pics up by Monday. First impressions are very favorable. In fact, I'm very excited about these axes. Keep checking back for a first impression review, and please make sure to sign up on the right for email updates.
Cheers!

Looking forward to the review. Which sizes did you get?

Just checking in anything on the Hults yet.
ReplyDeleteCattledog- sorry for the delay in responding. I've had two laptops crash (one was the backup!), plus, I've been wrapping up field testing with the 5 different Hultafors axes plus a Wetterlings Forester's Fine Axe.
DeleteRegarding the Hultafors, I'm reviewing all three of the Classic Line (Trekking Axe, Mini Trekking Axe and 20" Hunting/Bushcraft Axe), plus two of their felling axes. One of the felling axes is identical to the Husqvarna Forest Axe, and the other is a 2.75lb with a Dayton-style head.
Before posting the Hultafors reviews, I want to get our Husqvarna Forest Axe review up first so I can refer back to it when discussing the identical 2 lb Hultafors Felling Axe. This will make it much easier considering the number of axes I have to write up.
Thankfully, I have one of my laptops back online again, and me and Leah are working overtime to get a bunch of new material posted.
Cheers, Jason
