Kids, don't try this at home! Fiskars X15 Destruction Test

After watching this video, you might be thinking "Hey, these guys are destroying a perfectly good axe!" But you have to admit, it's fun and interesting to see what kind of abuse it can take. There are actually five different videos, and they are worth checking out as well.

  1. Well, I knew they were tough but it is nice to see how one of my favorite all around axes performs when abused so badly. I knew they were in a class all thier own, but that is tough!

  2. I wish Fiskars would make a heritage wood handled version.
Those guys heads aren't on that tight either. Did they have safety glasses on with all the fragments flying around.

    1. Hmmm, a wooden-handled Fiskars....sounds like an interesting idea.

And yes, safety glasses would have been much safer.

  3. I thought it was very dangerous and stupid myself.

  4. Yeah, it was, and if they would have taken better safety precautions, it would have been more palatable. Still, it was interesting to see how tough that axe was:)

There was that Noss4 guy on Youtube a while back that did a destruction test on the Gransfors Wildlife Hatchet as well. It survived more punishment than any survival knife he'd tested outside of a Busse Battle Mistress, which is basically just a giant slab of super tough INFI steel.
