Hultafors considering US axe distribution

Rocky Mountain Bushcraft just got some amazing news! Hultafors Group, owner of Hults Bruks, Sweden's oldest axe manufacturer, is considering entering the US marketplace. They have chosen Rocky Mountain Bushcraft to get the word out about their products and have asked us to review some of their axes in order to gauge public interest.

I have to say that this is an incredible opportunity. I'm excited to be on the cutting edge (sorry, I couldn't resist) of what is sure to be an important addition to the US market. Hults Bruks are comparable in quality to Gransfors Bruks axes, and are highly respected in Europe.

Here is a sneak preview of some of their beautiful axes ahead of our review (thanks to Paul at BushcraftCanada.com for allowing to use pictures from his website).

Can't wait to get my hands on one!

    1. Yo Jason,
I have a couple of spots in my axe lineup I would like to improve. One category is the full size felling axe. A brand new yankee style with a rc of 58-59 would be most welcome. The Hults fits that pretty well.

Sure would be nice to read your take on the fellers. I know they are more work axes than recreational types but I put a vote in for one of them too.
One nice thing about the hults is they don't cost a fortune.
I had an Agdor cedar type, I sold it but was a solid axe from day one, it just wasn't a good fit for the south woods I encounter.
I think my older Husq's are Hults made too I dunno for sure though.
Your site is getting better and better!

  2. That's cool. I hope they do. I've always thought their 2lb. Woodsman axe would be a great bush axe and love the look of it too. I just wish I could try it out and see :)
